Emerald Meters

Emerald is addressing a need that would enhance power availability in Nigeria as well as provide an attractive return for its stakeholders. Emerald launched the plan to manufacture smart meters in Nigeria, to provide a much-needed presence in the local meter manufacturing industry to support the metering gap within the power sector in Nigeria. Emerald will go into partnership with Select Original Equipment Manufacturers through a Joint Venture arrangement for the smart metering component manufacturing. The specific meter production will include single and three phase meters. Majority of these meters are imported therefore this will be a huge opportunity for the localization of manufacturing to reduce Nigeria’s reliance on importation and Emerald will also support small and medium scale entrepreneurs to support the manufacturing industry in the power sector.
